The survey of over 4,600 people showed that 63 percent of respondents were in favour of the online gambling industry being regulated by the UK government.

And even among non-gambling respondents over 50 percent agreed with government plans to oversee the gambling industry from inside the UK. Only 14 percent disagreed.

The survey also demonstrated that licenses are an important factor in consumer spending decisions, with 63 percent of those polled suggesting they would favour a licensed casino over an unlicensed casino. 70 percent said they would trust a casino that was licensed in the UK.
